Dear Friends of North Heartland,
So, are you stressed out about anything these days?
Chances are pretty good (50/50) that you’re among those who are feeling stress about the impending Presidential Election. I say that because a recent American Psychological Association poll reveals that more than half of us are anxious about it.
Of course, there are many other reasons we sometimes feel stress and anxiety – financial pressure, time pressure, kids, work, parents, spouse, health, etc. Fortunately, we have an amazing promise from God that He will relieve our stress if we will _______________.
To fill in the blank, you’ll need to be there or watch on our livestream this Sunday as we continue in our series I Will If You Will.
By the way, last week when we began this series, we looked at God’s promise to rescue us from the “dominion of darkness” and bring us into the kingdom of His Son where there is forgiveness and redemption. I had several folks tell me afterwards that it was the clearest explanation they’d ever heard of what it means to “call on the Lord” and be saved from our sins. So, I want to encourage you: if you missed the message, you can check it out here. You can also forward that link to a friend who doesn’t know God.
Finally, just a quick reminder (and you should have received an email about this), our Building Strong Marriages mini-conference is NEXT Friday evening from 7pm-9pm. This event is free and will include light refreshments as well as a feature session (Getting Off The Crazy Cycle) and some breakout sessions. Doors and free childcare open at 6:45 pm. If you and yours are planning to come, you can click here to register.
Have a great weekend and I’ll see you Sunday!
