03-11@ North Heartland: The Upside Down Kingdom ... "Where The World Is Flat"
Good afternoon dear family and friends of North Heartland!
First off, a big thanks and kudos to Shannon Horn for last Sunday's message Like a Child. She did a really great job! Check it out here if you missed it.
This Sunday, I'll be back with the next installment in our series This Is Jesus: The Upside-Down Kingdom. The service this week features a unique experiential remembrance of the very first communion between Jesus and his disciples. Most of us who've been Christians for a while understand the "spiritual significance" of communion but rarely do we think about the environment and manner in which it was first serve" and, more importantly, what that means for us. But we'll do exactly that in the message Where the World Is Flat.
Before we get to that ... guys don't forget that tomorrow morning at 8:15 we're hosting Rex Hudler of the Kansas City Royals. Rex will regale us with stories of the Boys in Blue plus share about his faith in Christ. Free breakfast is part of the deal, too!
Finally, don't forget to set your clocks forward Saturday night.
Of course, that means you'll be short an hour of sleep on Sunday morning and it will be very tempting to stay in bed instead of coming to church. I strongly encourage you to not do that as you'll be missing out. So, get to bed a tad earlier Saturday and I'll see you Sunday!
